Bamboo de Col
A lovely classic ceiling with Valencian mosaics sweeps over chic white tables and chairs. Beautifully classic, this overly famous Alto de Colón, but we prefer to look downstairs in the cellar of the antique, modernist Colón market and visit its slightly trendier design-oriented younger sibling Bamboo. Looking out on the curtain of water on the Colón square, you can choose between the big hall, the somewhat more intimate room or the outdoor seating area. Large, colourful paintings, glass and steel. Everything is a bit trendier in style, which draws a flashier group than the restaurant upstairs. The dishes are a bit less intellectual, less expensive, but definitely good. Go for the bacalao braseado, or one of the delicious salads and risottos and a selection of great desserts. A nice, relaxed atmosphere reigns supreme in this antique, modernist restaurant, and the service certainly contributes to the feeling. And the owners have an even younger sibling in the Americas Cup pavilion: Mar de Bamboo.Address
