Fast-paced Yonge and Eglinton is home to this modern interpretation of the time-honoured traditional steakhouse. Meating is an airy testament to modern design, in contrast to the old meat palaces. A plexiglas deer head and silk-draped chandeliers are strategically positioned. Chrome chairs with green cushions and brown leather dining benches. Well-dressed thirty- and forty-somethings in high heels come here for the scallops with bacon or the spicy Panko shrimps with piña colada dressing, but also enjoy the (very pricey!) steaks, like the Kansas City Tenderloin, served with carrot brulée and sweet potato. For the meat-haters, the owner offers an alternative in Cfood. Also open for lunch & late dining, but make sure your finances are up to it!
