Eggplant
King Street is one of the most fashionable streets in Toronto. Eggplant is actually a music and commercial production company, so you may well see a band that is just recording a CD or clip. The offices are upstairs, but downstairs, if you look carefully, is a restaurant. Wooden tables/floors, bare walls, iron staircase, dimmed lighting and flickering candles provide a polished atmosphere. Whenever the kitchen door opens, the dark dream is briefly interrupted. At the top, the area is extremely minimalist. The former chef of the Ultra Supper Club creates strange, eclectic but tasty menus. Try the New Zealand lamb shank and the lemon tart for dessert.Address
