Matkultur
This off city restaurant is located on the southern island called ”Söder”. It has an air of being very informal. Like a family business with a chef peering from the kitchen as you enter this narrow and informal restaurant. The interior is bombarded in an international and free style without being too kitschy or schizophrenic. The menu is said to be inspired by India, Burma, Korea, Vietnam. Matkultur want to test the palette of the guest. One example of this overture would be the scallops with peach ice granité, garnished with herbs, passion fruit curd and pomegranate. Then comes the salmon with strawberries, tofu- and wasabi mayonnaise and you are geographically stranded but with a culinary smile. The menu is divided into small, medium and big dishes to compel difference in hunger. The staff is friendly and might sit down next to you to talk about your food options or if they just have an interesting story to tell. This is an odd restaurant for being situated in Stockholm and requires a visit if you’re up for something different.Address
