Locanda Klara Norra
Locanda (which means inn or trattoria in Italian) is located in what may be the most depressing neighbourhood in Stockholm: Klara, the Soviet-style office district behind the Åhléns department store. The anonymous facade and stairway entrance also seem less than inviting. Despite this, this restaurant is frequented not only by well-dressed citizens of Stockholm (aged 35-40), but also Japanese and French patrons. Its mournful front conceals an elegant, modern interior with a large rectangular bar, velvet lounge group, dining room and private chamber. Locanda exudes New York style and the pulsating club music betrays the fact that you can stay here until 3 in the weekends. Start your evening with a few luxury tapas followed by one of the tasty Mediterranean mains, or try the eight-part tapas menu.
