There is nothing wrong with sushi, bibimbap or Swedish köttbullar, but sometimes you just feel like a good old-fashioned juicy red steak in a real bistro. Crimson walls displaying “Parisian” art, candles on the tables, yes, the whole romantic kit and caboodle, set in a beautiful old building in “Gamla Stan”, the Old Town. Staff can be a bit short-tempered at times, but we all have our off days. The prices are a bit on the steep side, but go there between 5 and 7 p.m. and you can enjoy a “plat du jour” for the price of an appetiser. Grill Ruby, the wallet-friendly Tex-Mex restaurant next door, serves late suppers between 11 p.m. and 1 in the morning, or perhaps you would prefer a brunch on Saturday afternoon?Address
