Not to be missed! Go to Balthazar, for the bar, the steak tartar, and – last but not least – the great Balthazar cooking book. More French than what the French could be capable of, Balthazar offers the best of what can be found of bistro in New York. A dining hall as ballroom, huge weathered mirrors, porcelain tiles on the edge. The wine card is impressive and gives-away the fact that a connoisseur is behind it. For enthusiasts of sea cocktails it is a rare treat here, but also the good old hamburger is not missing.
