An Asian conquest in the realm of New York’s culinary king, Jean-Georges Vongerichten. Ebony Eames chairs, milk-glass tables and a long, pristine white community table with 44 steel barstools in a spacious area divided into booths with glass and steel partitioning. The menu displays a modern take on Chinese cuisine: salad with lotus bulbs, dumplings with coquilles and water chestnut and sweet-and-sour salmon with a chilli crust. The chef comes to offer his apologies: the steak will take a little longer because he ordered an even better tuna fillet from Mercer Kitchen. Compensation in the form of an amuse on the house. Try to keep your eyes from wandering as yet another model breezes past.Address
