Sea - Thai Bistro

In the weekend, this trendy Thai is anything but Zen. Throngs of young people crowd the sidewalk outside, while the inside is packed and a DJ is spinning his spell. The lounge has white 70s bucket seats or transparent rockers. An indoor pond in the middle has a gold goddess statue and an enormous water lily, surrounded by many little tables in organic shapes, interspersed with wooden screens with green lights. The couples sit right beside the water. There is a large bar in the back, as well as futuristic round toilet buildings and a screen showing live performances. The menu features many affordable Thai dishes, such as Tup Tim Fritters (deep-fried dumplings). The noodles, curries, sauteed foods and Fried Frices make delicious entrées. Sloshing pitchers of water and the amply filled cocktail glasses leave their traces everywhere. Weeknights are quieter here, drawing a more mixed audience – but for the true Sea Experience, Saturday evening is the time to come. Perfect for communal dining.
