It’s located next to St. Mark’s Place. It’s vegetarian. It’s sizzling. Even all wines and cocktails on the list are organically raised. The dishes are more tasteful than in most meat-packed places on the West-end of Manhattan. The furniture is elegant, so are the guests that hang out at the circular bar, sipping cocktails. The wine list is impressively organic. The risottos are velvety and tasteful. The waiters are cute. They make for good atmosphere. Just go to the place next door for desert. The key lime pie isn’t worthy of all the other delicacies. On weekdays from 11am tot 4pm Counter is almost for free: a $7.50 lunch special includes an appetizer and an entrée. Counter us in!Address
