The Spotted Pig
If you were wondering what those punk rockers in jeans, dark T-shirts and sideburns were doing in a restaurant that has a Michelin star, ask no longer: they are the waiters in this upscale English pub. Naked ravioli (for the low-carb dieters) and chicken livers on toast, or the smoked haddock chowder, served as a main dish. White linen tablecloths with starched serviettes and brown packing paper. An assortment of flowerpots and plants in the window. Velvet curtains, paintings of red and green spotted pigs line the wall. And a copper ceiling showing plumbing pipes from the floor above. Noses in the air, the young crowd visits this hot spot enthusiastically.
