Mas Farmhouse
A tiny, elegant farm concealed in the West Village, on Downing Street. The kitchen is open until 4 a.m., catering to the better late-night cravings. The champagne flows freely here. International patrons, successful, with a touch of glamour. The dress code demands more than casual. The beautiful men offer exquisite service on soundless feet. No music, but a soft murmur of conservation. Good old-fashioned American cooking with a lot of red-beet accents – but still popular with young, well-dressed Asians, perhaps because of the tartar of tuna, which any self-respecting Asian will seek out instead of wontons. Or perhaps it’s the hot chocolate for dessert? If you want to be sure of a table before midnight, make sure to reserve a day or two in advance. Of course it’s not actually a working farm, but what’s in a name?Address
