Propa, for those in the know, is located in a high-ceilinged cellar, dominated by exposed brickwork. It feels more like New York or Detroit. A mainstay of affordable, contemporary nightlife for eight (!) years now. Only a few places manage to maintain such a strong image for so long. Propa is a big party 7 days a week. Breakfast is followed by lunch. Every day at 12, tables are moved aside and the feet fly off the floor. Surrounded by the well-dressed middle class of Moscow, you can dance to the latest international DJ without undergoing excessive ‘face control’. If you are unsure of your outfit or the bags under your eyes, get there in time and have a bite to eat. Try the Papardelle with cream sauce and peas, or Korean Beef. Wash it down with the very reasonable house wine. Sunday evening is the best gay night in the country, if that’s your pleasure.Address
