Atomium Restaurant
Good. The food is nothing to write home about. But the view from the highest sphere of the Atomium at a short distance of 100 metres is naturally fantastic. The spheres are splendidly polished and shine at you from afar. This was the spot for the very best Belgian restaurant, but the exploiters have chosen, in the daytime, for a somewhat untidy, self service restaurant, where you can eat super Belgian dishes, such as ‘stoemp’ (type of bubble and squeak) or a waffle from Luik and can drink a foamy Geuze. A salad bar and a wine menu with but 1 type of wine. In the evenings it is a "brasserie gastronomique". The tag of the restaurant is “Belgium taste in the sky”, but Belgium has, thankfully, generally a rather higher level. At least in culinary terms.
