Once you have entered the courtyard, you find asking yourself whether you are in the wrong place. The neo-Gothic building ahead looks more like a cathedral rather than a restaurant. The truth is it is a former brewery. And you may have other visions: The beautiful young lady with the long black hair that attracts 200 per cent of the two young waiters’ attention looks like Penelope Cruz (because she is PC). You may not feel treated as a super star yourself but Maxwell is an experience, despite the sometimes inattentive service. Brilliant food, extensive wine list, and impressive brick-stone environment: the two-story dinner heaven with the giant terrace has a lot in the pipeline for food lovers and celebrity spotters. For starters, you may want to focus on dishes such as salmon tartar in herb crêpe with glass noodle salad, celery-apple cream soup with red mullet and merguez, tuna with lemon grass foam and coated vegetable curry.
