Jolesch

The restaurant: an Austrian-Kreuzberg Fusion with parquet floor, chandelier, bare wooden doors and windows, candles on marble tables and bright green walls. The crowd: the typical Kreuzberg mischmasch, bohemians, students and the local scene, as well as young visitors from abroad. The menu: Austrian specialties, upscale regional cuisine, for instance baked calf’s head, fried mullet or an appetizer with six different varieties of tomatoes chosen from more than hundred that an Austrian farmer can now deliver. Menus with up to four courses or à la carte. The wine list: extensive, with exquisite wines mainly from Austria. Breakfast all day long, additionally two menus for lunch and dinner. Just one uncertainty: does the huge painting on the front wall show a thunderstorm in the mountains or is it roaring sea? Reservations recommended.
