Gorgonzola Club
The name might be misleading. This is no club but a restaurant with an attached bar. It’s located in the heart of Kreuzberg, where hedonists, artists, students, media folks and their visitors from abroad love to socialise in pubs and other public places. Warm and earth-coloured décor, wooden floors, bare walls, rich patina; the menu of the day can be read from the big chalkboard. In Kreuzberg such a spot is considered chic. Cosy atmosphere and food may remind you of an Italian down-market trattoria, the target group is supposed to be fond of dining with friends but does not want to spend too much on it. Good place for mid-sized groups. Jump-start your evening here or get you some late pasta while you check out the club scene of old West Berlin where the aroma of herbs sweetens the air. In case you are a holiday smoker, get yourself a Cohiba or Montecristo for the price of a meal at Würgeengel. The bar, which can be accessed from the dining room, has a strange name that translates into choking angel.Address
