This 1920s country estate house on Sukhumvit Road stands solitary, surrounded by the neighbourhood businesses. Entering, you get the ‘loft’ feeling, with wooden chairs and glass walls up to the ceiling. The ambiance is liberal and ‘coincidental’, definitely a place for something special. The other house, with a 1970s façade, has been transformed into a Valhalla of desserts. Chocolates, mousses and every imaginable sweet temptation are served here. The lunch brings in the couples and families, and the creative types that worship the vast, plush lawn. The relaxed atmosphere intensifies when the sun goes down. That is when the cushions and low tables, entirely in style, are placed in front of the country house. Go for the makam fried rice, or flavourful and spicy salads of mango and salmon. Or have the roast chicken in tamarind sauce and tuna nachos. The menu is deliciously broad.Address
