Bangkok locals like to be seen in this elegant fusion restaurant. Very Thai and trendy, but don’t expect a modern designer interior. It’s an old Thai house with a patio, furnished in real Oriental-colonial style: high-ceilinged, lots of dark-brown wooden chairs and atmospheric lighting. There are two large pavilions, but every table is always full. This is the place to go for authentic and delicious Thai cooking (or even international on the sly), whilst mingling with local stars and business people. Go for the deep-fried crab meat, pork and shrimp seasoned with herbs and wrapped in bean curd skin for starters, followed by Phuket Lobster with chilli mousse & coconut cream and stir-fried pasta as a main course.
