Mamma always knows best. Basta! Here you’ll have to take potluck. A typical Italian trattoria, with Mamma Angela, aged 70, clad in her pink dress and white apron, and her son as waiter. Mamma regularly emerges from the kitchen to do the rounds and check that her guests are still happy. Sta bene? Sta bene? Every day sees different specialities that form part of a five-course meal but can also be ordered separately. Come on an empty stomach, otherwise you won’t be able to sample a bit of everything; you’ll be served a choice of various antipasti, soup, two types of pasta, three main dishes, two desserts and coffee/lime liqueur to complete the meal. Sadly, the “slow” food is served at a Thai pace, which leaves little time to pause between courses.Address
