Crêpes and Co
You can fill crêpes with anything you fancy: Thai curry, Greek feta, British lemon curd or – what else – apple and cinnamon flambéed with cognac. The number of fillings is bizarre: about 50 savoury ones and 20 sweet, or with ice cream. Wash your choice down with real cider in a champagne bottle. Or you can choose the ‘Co’ from the restaurant’s name: a selection of Mediterranean snacks like couscous, mezze and tapas. The Thai personnel are dressed in traditional Breton costume as a tribute to the origin of these wafer-thin pancakes. The ceiling is festooned with sailcloth and there’s also an overdose of rattan. Jazzy North African-style music completes the relaxed atmosphere – apart from the owner, maybe, who runs round a bit nervously checking everyone’s happy. This place is ideal for Sunday brunch (book first!) or bring the kids along (children’s play corner and menu).
