A band with an old saxophone plays European and US covers in Thai, but the music’s so loud you’re better off sitting on the terrace. Local students and young office workers share their food with their table companions, with Fashion TV on mute. No Europeans here. There are more than 20 creative salads on the menu (including spicy pomelo, herby shrimp and green mango), a number of curries recommended by the chef, and an oyster omelette as the perfect starter. Keep walking, but if you’re into eating real Thai food with the locals, don’t pass this restaurant by!
